WEEK #1
The Artist in Residence Program has started at Nectar! Las week we welcomed the 4 resident artists: Nanao Tsukuda from Japan, Aki Hoshihara from Japan and based in LA, Netai Halup from Israel and Sasha Sementsev from Russia. This first week has been very productive, the artists found the time and inspiration to start developing their own projects surrounded by the tranquility and peace of nature. We also enjoyed great meals, shared very interesting ideas and feedbacks and just chatting with the sunsets. More to come!
WEEK #2
This week has been very intense! Artists have worked intensively on their projects while adapting their practice into the rural environment of Nectar. On Wednesday we went to Barcelona for a one-day visit to see exhibitions & art spaces. We visited the MACBA Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona, Can Felipa and Galeria Carles Taché, to get to know the space where they will have the show. Thank you Caterina Almirall and Charlie Tache for your time and generosity, we had a great day!
During the weekend, we had a great OPEN STUDIO with amazing guests and a nice lunch in the terrace. Sasha, Aki, Nanao and Netai presented their work in progress for the upcoming opening at Galeria Carles Taché on the June 9th at 12 noon. Thank you all for coming!

WEEK #3
The last week of the residency has been decisive. Having a final exhibition at Carles Tache Gallery (Barcelona) was definitely a good motivation for the artists in order to be able to push theirselves to go beyond their limitation and to work with deadlines and goals. Time to pack the artworks, which travelled from Nectar straight to Galeria Carles Taché, where the day after the artists displayed the projects in the the white and black spaces.
Thank you to Charlie Taché for supporting young artists and believing in new collaborations, thanks to the artists for their amazing projects and thanks to all that stopped by at the opening, it was a success!. It was a great "ending" for the Nectar residency program, and we couldn't be happier!
