3 ARTISTS - 3 FULL GRANTS
¨ CYCLES ¨
Nectar presents The Artist Residency CICLES, a fully-funded residency that aligns with the circular philosophy of Nectar and it's vision, welcoming site-specific works from the resident artists based on the concept of Cycles, and offering a long-term Mentoring Program to the residents.
The concept of "Cycles" can be interpreted and approached in various ways, offering residents a wide creative freedom. We encourage experimentation and interdisciplinary approaches, allowing each artist to explore the theme from their own unique perspective.
The Residency
PROGRAM:
> RESIDENCY
Nectar July 17-30 (Two weeks residency)
> OPEN STUDIO
The artists will have the chance to present their work in an Open Studio event and gather along with guests and cultural agents from the local art scene, enabling a space of conversation and feed-back. During their residency, the artists will have access to Nectar’s administrative and human support and to its network with local artistic and cultural community (date to be confirmed)
> EXHIBITION
At the end of the residency, we will hold a "celebration" in the form of an "immersive" exhibition in the rural surroundings of Nectar. The works created during the residency will be site-specific, designed to seamlessly integrate with the landscape and essence of Nectar. This exhibition will not only provide artists with a platform to showcase their creations but also offer visitors a unique experience of contemporary art exhibited in rural environments.
The magical event will be on July 28th 2024.
> WORKSHOP
Within the context of the collaboration between Nectar and L'Escola del Bosc d'Espinelves (Osona), the resident artists will conduct a workshop with the children from the school in the midst of nature during one morning (dates between 20-27 July)
*The artists will get a fee for the workshop
